Facts you can trace.

Download the same normalized records shown on the site, with units, source links, and original timestamps.

What the export contains

Destination identifiers and coordinates, measurements and units, source status, report or observation time, collection time, source links, forecast and tide context in JSON, and known collection limitations. The CSV is a flat table of primary measurements with their provenance.

Historical records

Each published source bulletin includes a snapshot download. Historical figures retain their dates; an old snapshot must not be presented as current conditions.

Archive API

Use /api/archive?destination=DESTINATION&days=7&limit=100. Windows: 1, 7 or 30 days; limit: 1–200. Follow the JSON nextCursor as the URL-encoded before parameter. CSV uses format=csv and returns the next cursor in X-Next-Cursor. Source URLs, source times, collection times, parser versions and content hashes travel with the data. Capture payloads are normalized source records, not full source-page copies.

Permanent individual captures remain at /evidence/CAPTURE_ID. Report snapshots use /api/public-data?report=REPORT_ID. Browse older bulletins with /reports?page=2. Daily digests preserve the final available source record for an Eastern date, with coverage counts; they do not calculate snowfall totals.

Attribution and reuse

Cite the original provider for its measurements and Shredminder for this compilation, normalization, or original comparison. Include the source date and the destination or bulletin URL. Upstream provider terms continue to apply; this page does not grant a blanket license over third-party material. Contact the publisher about bulk reuse or syndication.

Definitions

Unknown values are null in JSON and blank in CSV. Snowfall is in inches; buoy wave height in meters; period in seconds; water temperature in Celsius. Tides are predictions in feet above MLLW at the specified station. Dates in downloads use ISO 8601; page times use Eastern time.
